SCIENCE
Numbers and life are just one. Everything is a number: matter, space, time, even art and music in the end.
Numbers can engender harmony, and harmony can open the mind which will rise to ecstasy by enjoying it. It is then that judgment stops: there is neither beautiful nor ugly, there is neither more nor less, nothing is high or low, light or dark, good or evil anymore.
In a perfect balance everything is arranged around the same circle, dissolving all contrasts.
Something balanced can go beyond quality: it is not positive and it is not negative. It simply exists in relation to everything else, so it is.
Iconazéro is our balance, a new form of your living and maybe of your being.
PHILOSOPHY
Rationalism and mysticism are the banks of a river generated by the same spring: they flow in parallel, denying each other principles. Two worlds which will keep fighting until the day when the illusion dissolves, and the two banks join once more around the same lake.
The truth is in the middle, in the stream lapping both banks, taking from the one and the other, mixing, giving back what it took in a balance which will deliver belief to knowledge, but it will give a soul back to the essence of things soon after.
You can see images, you can listen to sounds, you can feel perfumes and sensations. Science will tell you they are just numbers, everything is a number and that is why it exists.
But numbers are unlimited and in the not- limited you can find the illusion of space and time, where everything is possible again. Even the spirit, which is not the reason.
ESSENCE
When we started drawing in 2013, we couldn’t perfectly understand what we were doing or what we wanted to do. We both had a clear and unmistakable intuition some weeks later: we were going to do something important.
We finally found ourselves in front of the definite structure some years later, in 2020: was a cycle coming to its end or was a new era starting?
The truth was that we were holding the accomplished work in our hands: we were looking at icona zéro and touching it. We had created a masterpiece, something perfect from every angle we looked at it.
ART
A day which started like any other. One of the most important representatives of contemporary modern world, a celebrity on an international level, comes into our laboratory. His arrival, even if an unexpected one, is the answer to our invitation, and the invitation comes from a desire: being surprised by the tuning linking us to this character, we wish we could have his opinion about the table we are developing.
CONNECTIONS
When I think about all the coincidences leading to this project, the realization and history of this table, I ask myself lots of questions. I feel like I’m besieged by a swarm of doubts which I’m trying hard to keep constricted in a mix of instinct, perception, bold connections and obstinate reasoning.
